One of the most frequently asked questions is: "Should I buy a Class A or Class C, what’s better?" Both units offer some distinct features. It's really a matter of personal preference. The big difference between Class A and Class C is the chassis. A Class A is built on a heavy truck chassis. Class A motorhomes will have more gross weight capability and larger capacity fuel tanks, water tanks, and holding tanks. Class A motorhomes offer you a panoramic view with their large sweeping glass. A Class A is the preferred coach for the serious RV family as it offers more open living space and generally more undercarriage storage. Class C motorhomes are built on a van chassis and will have either a bed or an entertainment center over the cab. A Class C provides plenty of sleeping room and also a roomy living space. Class C's will sleep 4-8 people comfortably, depending on size. A Class C may not provide you with the panoramic view, but the cab over is a wise use of space and is handy at keeping the glare off the windshield when driving into the sun.
